Dunragit
2024
A body of work produced as a result of studying the prehistoric artefacts of Dunragit on Luce Bay in Galloway. Using wild clay from the area. The series of small pots were pit fired and made using prehistoric techniques. This work marks the beginning of an investigation into the prehistoric ceremonial landscapes of Galloway, their communities and material culture, in the area where the artist grew up. The work was shown as part of Spring Fling 2024 as a result of receiving the Emerge Award.
